The rainy season is here and we would like to remind you of some very important upkeep protocols for your windows and sliders. |

Drainage System |
It’s normal for water to accumulate in the sill or track with wind driven rain. Water will drain to the outside as it builds up or as outside pressure subsides. Avoid placing towels in the track as this could cause water damage. |

Inspect Weep Holes |
Check to make certain the drainage or “weep holes” in the bottom of the frame are always clear of debris, both inside and outside the window or door. Inspect weep holes when excessive rain is anticipated or during. |

Clear Weep Holes |
Use a soft brush to clear openings. A can of compressed air can also be used. If you need to use a towel to sop up the water, remove towels from the sill immediately. |
